Our 21 rooms offer comfort in the true sense of the word:

Tastefully furnished, warm parquet or carpeted floors and boxed windows from an earlier time give your room a really personal touch. The situation in the pedestrian zone on the slopes of the Capuchin Mountain avoids urban traffic noise.

Our guest rooms are equipped with shower/WC or bath/WC, direct dial telephone and TV.

Internet is available via WLAN in the hotel lobby.

All that we know is that a "lute maker" worked from here in 1361. Behind the house there was a quarry. The house was mentioned again in 1512: "gegen der wasserstub vber am glympfenprunn", because at the neighbouring house No. 50 there was a lyre fountain, one of seven fountains in the city which served as rain water cistern and which were more than often misused as a fish farms.

In 1647 a "Portenwirker Khogl" worked here and from 1784 the gunsmith Mayr. House no.

48 was home to the chainsmith Josef Starek and his descendents from 1874 up to around 1920. No one needed handmade chains any longer and the house was sold.
